Trinity Mirror merges DM sales teams

Published: 04 July 2008 00:00

Trinity Mirror merges DM sales teamsTrinity Mirror is restructuring its direct marketing sales division to enable advertisers to create inserted promotional material across its national and regional titles.

AMRA Direct, which previously serviced the pub-lisher's regional titles and third-party independent publishers, including Archant and Tindal, will become the umbrella arm for all advertising inserts.

Staff who had previously worked solely for the Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror, have been integrated into AMRA Direct.

Charlie Hands, who is leading the 15-strong team as direct marketing sales and operations director, says the move is in response to an industry-wide downturn in inserts. Latest figures from Direct Marketing Association reveal an overall decline of 15% across all insert volumes in 2007, compared with the previous year.
