Dogs Trust creates heart warming pack
Dogs Trust is creating a heart warming direct mail campaign in a bid to help raise donations over Christmas.
The UK’s largest dog welfare charity aims to persuade supporters to give a little extra in the holiday season. The campaign ‘A dog is for life, not just for Christmas’, created by Mather will target existing current supporters, who are predominately women aged 45 to 65 years old.
Titled ‘Belle and Friends’, the mail pack uses the stories of Belle in a bid to connect with supporters and evoke their sympathy.
A letter written by Tracey Rae, rehoming centre manager for Dogs Trust Shoreham, highlights the story of dog Belle, who was found wandering the streets abandoned but developed into a lively dog with the help of the charity.
A leaflet draws in readers with adorable pictures and background on Belle, explaining how various donations can make a practical difference to dogs’ lives.
Mather business director Phil White says: “Dogs Trust staff will do whatever it takes, day or night, to help a dog recover from injury or trauma. Christmas is a time of love and togetherness. Without the support of its donors, Dogs Trust would be unable to bring joy and happiness to the lives of dogs like Belle and her friends throughout the year. Such support reinforces the philosophy of Dogs Trust that a dog is for life and not just for Christmas.”
