Standard Life looks for DM agency
Standard Life is hunting for an agency to handle its direct marketing account.
The move could potentially include the whole Standard Life Bank division. It has confirmed the review is taking place.
The review follows a shake-up in the marketing division of the Scottish insurance giant last month, which resulted in the creation of a new global brand positioning.
The strapline ‘Alive to Life’ is thought to be the first time Standard Life has introduced an umbrella positioning for the brand globally.
In February, Standard Life appointed former Barclays marketing director Simon
Gulliford as its first chief marketing director.
It added Saatchi & Saatchi to its roster in August 2005. Its direct marketing account was previously handled by The Leith Agency.
Last year, Standard Life warned hundreds of customers that they were at risk of
identity fraud after it released their personal information by mistake. The blunder occurred after the investments division sent out the policy documents of up to 300 customers to incorrect addresses.
